My Story
Autism Changed my life
Before I knew my children were on the spectrum, I had a clear vision of what I wanted for our family—traveling, homeschooling, working from home, raising bilingual children, and living between Europe and the United States.
We were an average middle-income family, but I was ambitious and wanted more for myself and for us.
Autism asked me to pause.
It shifted how I saw my life, and more importantly, how I understood my children. I had to learn to see the world through a lens I hadn’t imagined before—one shaped by their needs, their thinking, and their way of experiencing everything around them.
Every day, I step into their world—trying to understand their behaviors, their thoughts, their words, and even the things they cannot yet fully express.
Along the way, I’ve learned to slow down.
To pause.
To reset and regroup.
And to remember that life isn’t only about my plans—it’s also about who they are and what they need.
Our life is a journey, and every day is an adventure.
I invite you to take a glimpse into our daily life—what we love most, like traveling, and what challenges us the most, like learning.
As Marie Forleo once said, “Everything is figureoutable.”
With that belief, I continue this journey—raising two boys on the spectrum and building a life that works for all of us.
